A Simple Meditation

This is an easy meditation that you will like. It gives you an easy access to your inner self.

It   can be done with anything you like. The most important aspect of this meditation is the focus on a determined concept or thing. May it be a flower which you look at and then, in your thoughts, you “see” every single aspect of that flower. You will be smelling  its perfume, counting its petals, seeing its stem. Then try to penetrate that flower and make it part of yourself.

You know that we are all part of the universe. You are a part of the universe as I am and as the flower is. We are all connected. Feel the flower as if it belonged to yourself. It is part of the immense energy field that is within us and around us.

See the colors of the flower, see every single leaf on its stem or if there are no such leaves, see the petals of the flower itself.

You will get aware that there are thousands of other thoughts which will be popping up. Be gentle with them. Just let them pass by and let your mind return to your flower. It is important to let go of thoughts. Don’t fight against them, acknowledge them and let them go by.

Do this meditation for at least 10 minutes. It calms your system and also your thoughts will calm down and your mind will admire the flower. Your self will admire it as will your spirit, in other words, your whole being will be with it

These simple meditations can help you go deep into the self-awareness. They don’t take a lot of time but they will regenerate you as if you had been sleeping for an hour or more. The benefits are manifold. Just give them a try and you will explore these short meditations, maybe, daily.
